Recent Apple rumors have centered around the next-gen iPhone and a possible Apple tablet computer/e-book reader and the idea that Apple may be readying a downloadable books addition to its iTunes Store. We just received some intelligence that points in a different direction, though.
Sources close to us and claiming to be close to Apple are “99% almost sure” that the Cupertino, CA technology company is readying an offer to buy “syllables. All of them.” The source claims that instead of focusing merely on downloadable books, Apple thinks it can corner a larger market by controlling the use of syllables “in their entirety.”
